Joy Yoga Center says
Flying high in an arm balance is fun and invigorating. When we execute an arm balance pose with ease, agility, and strength we leave the pose feeling confident and that confidence follows us off the mat. Without the proper tools in alignment it can feel rather defeating and demoralizing too, plus leave us with unwanted injuries! Flying high in asana practice is not just for the most advanced practitioner. There are practices and stages that we must work on in order to approach these fun poses with success.

This arm balance workshop is designed for the beginner to intermediate student. We will work with a variety of different arm balances including lolasana, baby crow, crow, side crow, flying pigeon, hummingbird, and dragonfly variations. We will be exploring tools and techniques to incorporate into your practice at home or at the studio. For the beginner, we will explore tools to work on various phases and modifications in arm balances to approach them with confidence, intelligence, and maturity. Intermediate students will work on tools to refine their arm balance practice and expand into a more full expression of the pose.
