The Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies is turning 50, and you're invited to help us celebrate with "A Festival of Curiosity." This daytime, family-friendly event will be held on the beautiful Rice University campus at our Anderson-Clarke Center. Enjoy hands-on activities, art and entertainment with your family including:

■ A trio of lectures** from some of our most celebrated faculty and community experts: "The Evolution of Photography" (Peter Brown/Ashlyn Davis); "Innovating and Educating for Global Health Impact" (Rebecca Richards-Kortum); and "The Creative Magic of 'Hamilton: An American Musical'" (Debra Dickinson)

■ Public art campus tour (Evan Garza, director of Rice Public Art)

■ Kid-friendly activities, including making owl masks and acting out "Baby Owls" by Martin Waddell

■ A LEGO® community build of the Rice University shield

■ A photo booth and collage wall

■ Sidewalk chalk art by Houston Via Colori artists

■ Local food trucks including Foreign Policy, Curbside Sliderz and Taco Me Crazy

■ Performances by the Rice Marching Owl Band (the MOB) and high-energy DJ Mycle.

■ Prizes such as free continuing education courses, a beginning language class (Spanish or French), copies of top-selling business books, tickets for Rice baseball and more.

The Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies is located at Entrance 8 off of University Blvd. on the Rice University campus. Festival attendees can park in Parking Lot 4 for $5 with use of a credit card.
