OFF ROAD: William Wegman will be held at the Glasscock School of Continuing Studies on Saturday, April 30th at 3:30 pm with a complementary cocktail reception. Doors will open at 4:00 pm, followed by the lecture at 4:30 pm. Parking will be available for purchase in the university’s West Lot 1. Tickets are $25 general admission ($10 for students) and are now on sale.

Glasstire is pleased to announce William Wegman as the second speaker in OFF ROAD: Conversations with Artists Offline. Drawing on his humorous body of work, Wegman will speak at Rice University’s Glasscock School of Continuing Studies at 4:30 pm on Saturday, April 30, 2016, with a signing of his new book, "Paintings," to follow.

Known for his work involving his weimaraner dogs, the artist William Wegman (b. Holyoke, MA 1943) has created film and video works for Saturday Night Live and Nickelodeon, and his video segments for Sesame Street have appeared regularly since 1989. In 2001 Wegman and the comedian Steve Martin created the introduction for the inaugural season of Art:21. His photographs, videos, paintings, and drawings have been exhibited in museums throughout the world, including the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Museum of Modern Art, among others. He lives in New York and Maine.
