Please join us to meditate, dance and raise money for One Billion Rising at NiaMoves 508 Pecore St, Houston, TX 77009 February 14th, 2016 from 2:00PM to 3:30 PM.

Suggested donation $10-$20. To donate, pay by check made payable to One Billion Rising.

Becky Stephens Pate will lead us in a deeply connected & moving experience. The door will be locked once the meditation begins at 2:15 so please plan to come in plenty of time to get settled in by 2:10.

2 pm Women's Movement & Meditation led by Becky Stephens Pate. Women and men who advocate for the end of violence against women are most welcome.

About The Organization

NiaMoves is donating the space for this event. What is Nia? Nia is a fun, expressive dance cardio workout to soul-stirring music with easy-to-learn movements. About The Organizer

Mary Anne Casey & Becky Stephens Pate

Becky Stephens Pate has been a practitioner of Gabrielle Roth's 5 Rhythms for over 25 years, simultaneously exploring Soul Motion and participating in the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange Project in Houston. She has been facilitating dance/movement groups for about 25 years, 15 years facilitating Houston Sweat Your Prayers as well as other projects. Her belief is that conscious movement invites our Spirit to come more fully into our body allowing for a deep joining - where we are often separated - that facilitates healing and growth in every area of our lives.

Mary Anne will be facilitating this event to raise awareness and raise money for One Billion Rising. An advocate for women's health and women's rights and a supporter of V-day and associated events since first introduced in 2005. Mary Anne Casey has been attending events at Nia Moves for over 10 years. She been organizing and facilitating groups for over 20 years and has organized free dance events for various organizations.
