Contemporary Arts Museum Houston says
The University of Houston’s Department of English and CAMH are pleased to present a poetry reading by author and literary critic Daniel Tiffany. Tiffany is the author of a chapbook and nine volumes of poetry and literary criticism. His poems have appeared in The Paris Review, Tin House, Poetry, and many other journals. He is a recipient of the Berlin Prize, awarded by the American Academy in Berlin. In his latest publication, "My Silver Planet: A Secret History of Poetry and Kitsch" (Johns Hopkins 2014), Tiffany makes a case for “fundamentally redefining ‘kitsch’ as a bridge between the elite and vernacular, as opposed to something to be viewed with contempt, derision, and ridicule.” [1]

CAMH would like to extend our appreciation to Michael Snediker, Associate Professor at the University of Houston for his work organizing this program.
