Dr. Sowell has over 12 years of experience as a mental health service provider working with children, adults, and families in hospital, counseling centers, and schools. Currently she works in public schools as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. Dr. Sowell will discuss her professional experience and research related to how an individual’s religious or secular beliefs can help or hinder the treatment of mental illness.
