As its name suggests, this work is designed for a very intimate setting: a room. As audience members enclose the four dancers (Carmel Ben-Asher, Kelvin Wu, and The Burnt Room’s choreographers), rather than becoming the flies on the wall, they literally transform into the walls of the imagined space. Zuk and Fishof’s theatrical piece tells a fictitious story with “fabricated rituals, invented languages and an affinity to the absurd” at its core.
