Berkay Buğdanoğlu’s second solo exhibition makes use of recycled pieces of discarded metal to examine individual consumption of luxury items. Throughout a series of fictionalised plots, the artists envisions obsolete and rusting signs – once glistening advertising boards of a bygone era’s fashionable luxury designers, now scrap, rusting objects – as items of sheer beauty; and in doing so is able to evoke images of a decaying aesthetic destruction.
