Lifesaving

Inspired by the historical narratives pertaining to the dune-like Sable Island in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Canada, multidisciplinary artist Janet Bellotto reimagines the island as both a dreamland and a graveyard, alluding to ideas such as isolation, ephemerality, utopia, and survival in water.
