Martina Topley-Bird is an English vocalist and songwriter who first gained fame as the featured female vocalist on trip hop pioneer Tricky’s debut album, ‘Maxinquaye’. Her albums ‘Quixotic’, ‘Anything’, ‘The Blue God’ and ‘Some Place Simple’ are evidence that Topley-Bird creates a magical world where no two songs are alike. A myriad of global sounds and sources imbue her compositions with delicious original flavours and spiky lyrics. In Istanbul, she performs on the keyboards and guitar with drummer/percussionist Fergus Gerrand.
