Prins Thomas Orkester

Who comes to mind when you think of Norwegian dance music? Hans-Peter Lindstrøm, Todd Terje and, of course, Prins Thomas. The latter visits us this month at Salon. We’re quite familiar with his collaborative work with Lindstrøm that takes us on a space disco journey. Last September, Thomas released the EP ‘Oving’ under the name Prins Thomas Orkester, then followed it up in October with his second solo album, ‘Prins Thomas II’, from Full Pupp, his own record label. In ‘Oving’, Thomas overcame the space disco label and re-recorded the old songs in his discography with his musician friends. We’re curious to see what Prins Thomas tracks sound like when performed live with a group. Taking on warm up and after party duties is local DJ Style-ist.
