What do you get when you put 12 opinionated female performing artists together under one roof for ten days? You get 'Work It!', a project bringing together a diverse range of participants from the fields of dance, theatre and performance art to share their ideas, methods and their individual working practices. Hailing from all over the world including Portugal, Germany, Singapore, the Philippines, Spain, Indonesia and Taiwan, the participating artists are experienced in various fields from dance to theatre and will be at Rimbun Dahan for a ten-day, closed door think tank.
From Nov 9 to 10, the artists will attempt to explore and express current issues surrounding women and feminism with a public presentation at Black Box, MAP @ Publika.
At the conclusion of the think tank on Nov 17, the participants will present a public panel discussion at The Annexe, Central Market from 2pm-5pm to discuss the process of their Rimbun Dahan discussions and share their findings. Marion D'Cruz of Five Arts Centre will chair.
