Bangsar Book Club

This month the book club will be discussing the first novel in Anthony Burgess’ Malayan Trilogy, ‘Time for a Tiger’. Set in the last years of British rule in Malaya, the novel follows English teacher Victor Crabbe and the various idiosyncratic local and expat characters surrounding him. There’s also the ever present threat of Communism, a gay Malay chef and Chinese terrorists. (Fun fact: Anthony Burgess spoke fluent Malay.)
