Terry’s Marathon of Hope first took place in 1980 to spread awareness about the importance of finding a cure for cancer. Terry Fox, a patient diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma who had his leg amputated, decided to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research. If you want to run for a cause, the Terry Fox Run will commemorate Terry's vision to highlight cancer awareness. No registration fees required but proceeds from purchase of T-shirts (RM30) will go to Cancer Research Initiatives Foundation (CARIF). Visit Terry Fox Run KL on Facebook or www.terryfox.org to learn more about the cause.
