The burger bandwagon rolls on and on. We've seen the rise and fall of hot dogs, ribs and kebabs, but the cravings for burgers in Lisbon never seem to die. Here, in our humble opinion, are the best burgers in town. Do you agree with the choices? Use the comments box below to tell us your opinion.

CAPITÃO FAUSTO

Part of a Lisbon chain that had eight outlets at the last count, but which has happily not gone downhill in any respect. This burger – a homage to a Portuguese band of the same name – contains beef, melted cheese, onion, pickles, watercress, tomato and barbecue sauce.

Our critics thought this burger – which comes in a toasted sesame- and sunflower-seed bun – just fabulous. It has delicious meat, melted cheese, smoked pork belly, caramelised onion and egg.

The restaurant critics of Time Out Lisboa gave this chunk of heaven five stars. It has Black Angus beef, chilli, melted cheese, pickled jalapeño peppers and caramelised red onion.
