Walter De Maria: Idea to Action to Object

Exhibition of works by Walter De Maria, a multi-disciplinary artist who focused on minimalist, conceptual and land art. This show will include drawings, sculptures and unrealised projects by De Maria. One set of drawings is for 'Olympic Mountain Project', an intended installation for the Munich Olympics in 1972. The proposed work involved a nine-foot-wide, four hundred-foot-deep shaft drilled into a pile of rubble left over from WWII.
