Discover a series of ‘Raree Boxes’, peep-show devices that reveal tableaux made by artist Richard Sharples and sound artist Richard J Lockley-Hobson. The boxes use a variety of techniques including hand-cranked mechanisms, Victorian optical illusions and magical lanterns to tell the stories behind London’s myths, customs and rituals – many still in practice today.
