In this one-day fundraising drive, the Camden Arts Centre will be transformed into the studio and seaside home of the bohemian 'artist' Finchley Arkwright-Keslake-Essendine (F.A.K.E), ‘one of the greatest, but most overlooked, female artists of the 20th century’. Key to the event will be a ticketed evening auction of the contents of her studio, created with the help of such artists as Cornelia Parker, Edwina Ashton, Simon Faithfull and Richard Wentworth, but the day will be devoted to family activities and workshops on subjects such as life drawing, restoration and still life techniques.
