Be At One

Bars in Soho are ten-a-penny but this branch of the popular Be At One chain more than holds its own with its mix of reasonably priced cocktails (they can whip up all the trusty classics, as well as more exotic BAO specialities), welcoming staff and (loud, commercial, dance/pop) music that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

A busy, buzzing bar especially during Happy Hour (5-7).Reserving a table is always a good idea as the thought of standing for an hour or two at the end of a working day is not always a pleasant one. The cocktails are varied and interesting. My lychee martini was an easy one to drink. A little too easy! My friends drank margaritas and polis hermanos, the latter being a bit too smokey for him. The bar staff are working non- stop with smiles and conversation for anyone and everyone until 7 pm when a sudden quiet descends on the bar area. From 7o'clock there are literally no people waiting to be served. Up to that time it can be a long wait before being served. One or two more bar staff for those two hours would be very welcome. At approximately £9 per cocktail with a second one of the same thrown in for good measure during Happy Hour, they are value for money. Personally, I would prefer a half price Happy Hour then the choice of drinking a second cocktail is mine. The music was loud - too loud to comfortably talk inside. However, wrap up warm and outside becomes an option.

Great venue, great cocktails, great music. What more can you ask for. Cocktails range from £8.50 upwards and have a good range of cocktails, my favourite is the Oreo one its to die for. Sooooo refreshing. Happy hour is Monday - Friday 5-7 and the queues at the bar, can get crazy but are totally worth it. You can also extend happy hour, using your time out card! Happy cocktail drinking ........

I'm a huge fan of Be at One bars, the cocktails are always enjoyable, the waiting time during happy hour is a little on the long side but it's worth it when you watch the bar tenders go to work and you get the cocktail. I've not had an issue in any other the other bars other than here which was sadly due to the sexist security guard who let a man harass one of the women drinking outside. Great bar, but terrible door men.

The cocktail choices are outstanding and the favourite of the month is definitely Porn Star Martini. Do I add the champagne shot into the main glass or just down it as a chaser? Sample it between sips, have the passion fruit at the start to get my taste buds in the mood or save it as a delightful dessert?? So many options you find yourself concentrating more on the concoction that the company. Whoops! Back in the room...

What makes this place so great? The staff, every visit and without fail are welcoming, warm, friendly and super helpful regardless of your questions or needs. They must do some kind of friendliness training, and it’s so refreshing pitched against the often sully super cool service London is famous for. Be at One is a Delight (capital ‘D’ fully deserved). The only thing is, everyone knows it so it gets crowded within minutes at school’s out time. However, happy hour rocks and uplifting nostalgic tunes will paint a big grin on your face. Just go, you’ll love it...

Tip: Knock off half an hour early to beat the rush, grab a seat and get to know the staff for even more wonderful service. Order a couple of drinks each at a time when it gets crowded to save the long queues twice.

Best happy hour in town! An amazing array of strong cocktails served up by awesome staff in a fun venue!

On a Saturday night the bar is as unpleasantly busy as most in the area, which can't really be helped.

It did, however, seem understaffed at 9pm or so, as queues were unreasonably long and the rowdier patrons went unchecked. The drinks were fine, but not worth the overall experience.

The toilets also left a lot to be desired and clearly needed cleaning. A disappointing experience from a usually reliable chain.

Be at One is always a safe bet. There's usually a good amount of people, and the general atmosphere is pleasant. It's got kind of a hip vibes, it's very dark and with neon signs. The staff is all very nice and experienced and the drinks are all very interesting. I had an alcoholic drink with ice cream that did not disappoint, The happy hour has very good prices, but any other time the drinks aren't cheap. Definitely worth going.

Be@1 isn't revolutionary but it is a good reliable cocktail bar chain.  The Happy Hour offers are great value and they will always be busy with a good atmosphere on a Friday or Saturday night.  There are several around London and I have never come across a bad one!  The club in Soho is also great for a cheesy night dancing with your mates.
