Mimetic 2012: BURN – Moving Images by Cabaret Artists

BURN, the platform for moving images by cabaret artists programmed by TO cabaret editor Ben Walters, is back as part of the Mimetic 2012 festival of cabaret, puppetry and mime. From music videos and sight gags to experiments in light and video-interactive live performance, the moving image has opened up new dimensions in creativity for those working on a shoestring. This edition includes live work from Dickie Beau, Ophelia Bitz and Wilfredo, silent-movie style videos from the likes of EastEnd Cabaret, Clementine the Living Fashion Doll and Boris & Sergey plus Alp Haydar and a whole lot more on screen.
