London International Mime Festival 2013: My!Laika – Popcorn Machine

Banish thoughts of Marcel Marceau knock-offs trapped in invisible boxes. This festival dating back to 1977 offers wordless work from around the world involving everything from puppetry and animation to circus skills and new technology, including many UK premieres. This fast-moving performance claims inspiration from Frank Zappa, Jackie Chan, Kurt Schwitters and the Ramones and blends msuci, acrobatics, humour and popcorn in a circus-theatre extravaganza.
