While plenty of party people were bemoaning the lack of proper spaces to get their party on this year, festival organisers and promoters Hannah Cox, Alex Brooks, Lee Denny and Alison Monk were opening their 700-capacity ‘pop-up’ club in London Bridge. Not just a sweaty rave pit like the venue’s former incarnation, Jacks, it has hosted live shows, comedy, plays, cinema and art installations during its 99-day stretch, which will end on New Year’s Day. We doff our caps to this beacon of the capital’s fledgling underground.
