Greg Davies – ‘Firing Cheeseballs at a Dog’

With his first full-length solo show Davies proved what most people who have followed his career in We Are Klang or on the circuit have known for years – he is a comedy giant. Not only does he literally tower over most other comedians (he is nearly nine and a half feet tall – that’s not true, but it feels like it when you’re in the same room as him), he metaphorically towers over many of his peers with his sheer, unadulterated funniness. This show was a triumph of silliness, lacked needless pretensions and simply revelled in its own ridiculousness. Big-hearted fun from a man destined for greatness.
