English National Ballet revives nineteenth-century ballet 'Le Corsaire' in a spangly new production by veteran ballerina Anna-Marie Holmes. An orientalist fantasy, 'Le Corsaire' ('The Pirate') is a ridiculous story involving shipwrecks, swashbuckling, kidnap and conspiracy, but it's the bravura dancing, especially from the four male principal roles, that makes it a draw. By all accounts, it zips along at a pace and is great fun, and the sets and costumes by 'Batman' designer Bob Ringwood are suitably shiny and exotic.
