Time Out says

This engaging thriller, set in New York, starts with a bang, as villain Jack (Cassel), father of George (Williams), ends up the sole survivor of a mega-heist firefight. The cops descend on George, catch him in flagrante, and locate his handgun. He goes on the run and is finally forced to hole-up with his brother Mike, a sleazebag con-man with a Woody Allen-like verbal delivery. Indie writer/director Ransick's debut is another offbeat post-modern character study of thieves without honour. Hand-held, droll and well-observed: maybe some of the dialogue could have been tightened, and some of the scenes rehearsed one more time, but it's still a winner, and Treat's a treat.
