Time Out says
Jamal Jeffries (Nunez) is an arrogant, disqualified pro basketball player whose only option, of course, is to don falsies and join the women's league. There, rivalry with captain Michelle (Fox) turns into affection. Meanwhile, Jamal's agent (Pollack) is trying to get his ban lifted. But questions abound: even if no one realises he's a man, don't they notice the resemblance to the famous basketballer? Why don't the girls presume that a player constantly trying to touch them up is a lesbian? The result is an unpersuasive moral journey, with a smattering of laughs, that fails to justify the insulting premise that only a man can help the ladies win at both basketball and love. Juwanna Mann? Not after this, thanks very much.
