Time Out says

3 out of 5 stars
A sort of technical extension of Morgan Spurlock’s ‘Super Size Me’, ‘Planeat’ may seem like just another vegan eulogy, but the producers have found compelling scientific evidence to back up their claims. One striking example sees a former heart surgeon hold up before-and-after angiograms: one of a patient’s artery mangled by meat- and dairy-induced cholesterol; the other, taken after a year of eating wholefood with no extra medication, shows the same artery completely restored. Yet despite alarming pie charts, pictures of snazzy veggie dishes and the persuasive evidence that joining the rabbit fraternity is not only good for you but the planet too, most omnivores will agree that, irrespective of the hazards, there’s just no resisting the taste of a big, fat, juicy steak.
