Time Out says

Written by John Cleese and Graham Chapman, with help from satire-generation veterans John Wells and John Fortune, and produced by Ned Sherrin, this ought to be a cut above the level suggested by the 'oo-er missus' title and the presence of a character called Madame Greenfly. It isn't quite, but a fairly scattershot approach to its spoof spy formula - inept 'tec Booth caught up in a nerve gas scam - at least keeps it moving briskly. A touch of exotic strangeness comes from the likes of Sinden, Bentine, Milligan, and that tackiest of early '70s sex symbols, Julie Ege. But the film's single weirdest asset has to be the theme song by Dave Dee and the Kings Singers.
