A documentary, which explores the modern face of people trafficking through the stories of two unconnected women, whose lives were touched - and scarred - by this pressing and timely issue. One narrative concerns young mother Miriam, who suffers in a prison in Matamoros on the Texas border. The second storyline focuses on a travelling circus clown called Adela, whose life was irrevocably altered 10 years ago.
