Time Out says

Oscar (Perry) and Peter (Platt) are architectural partners competing to design a new cultural centre for Chicago. Peter is gay, Oscar straight. Funding the project is tycoon McDermott. He mistakes Oscar for gay and asks him to keep an eye on his mistress Amy (Campbell), a sculptor, in case she gets too much male attention at her gallery opening. Needless to say, Perry and Campbell fall in love, because that's what they're there for, but of course Perry has to keep pretending to be gay. Judging by the mock '50s title sequence, this is masquerading as a revamped Doris Day frolic. Perry does befuddled, Campbell dazzles with a parade of low-cut dresses - nevertheless you only feel embarrassed for them. The final reel treats the gay community with unbelievable crassness, but such is the knuckle gnawing torment of the would-be clever resolution, this passes almost unnoticed.
