Marie Drillon and her husband of 25 years, Jean, decide one morning to visit the beach by their holiday home. Jean goes swimming whilst Marie sunbathes, but he never returns. The police are called in to organise a search but they find nothing: Jean has disappeared without a trace. Returning to Paris, Marie struggles to come to terms with the loss of her husband - the greatest love of her life.
