Shot over the course of several years, this documentary exposes the increasingly bitter and bloody war between the Peruvian government and indigenous tribes, which culminated in fatalities during armed conflicts in June 2009. The film begins in 2007 when president Alan Garcia and his administration pushed through legislation allowing foreign companies to extract natural resources from land belonging to native peoples. A stand-off ensues between the politicians and local groups.
