BLUESFEST: Tedeschi Trucks Band + Mavis Staples

Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, musical and marital partners, bring their blues rock band to London for the opening night of Bluesfest. Both Trucks and Tedeschi are stunning blues guitarists who each led their own band until 2010, when the groups merged into a smoking eleven-piece supergroup jamming out soulful original blues material. Staples and her band support, bringing sultry rhythm and blues, soul and gospel to the Albert Hall and performing some of the many hits of The Staple Singers.
