The LCMF 2013's second week opens with a night of opera immersivism. The audience are invited to sit to eat as around it a drama emerges, a world premiere staging of a 20-minute sung monologue (based on an August Strindberg short play) about one woman's encounter with her husband's mistress from one of the world's greatest living opera composers, Gerald Barry.
To complement this tale of female rivalry, Sound Four has commissioned a second opera monologue - a salesman's monologue - from award-winning, 23-year-old composer Kate Whitley.
