Virtuoso upright and electric bassist – who has played alongside the likes of McCoy Tyner, Chick Corea and Freddie Hubbard – McBride brings a rare blend of irrepressible swing and deep funk to all that he plays. He's also a gifted composer with a penchant for nifty modern jazz numbers that effortlessly blend heady tunes with hearty grooves.
