LONDON JAZZ FESTIVAL: Murcof/BCN216 + Oren Marshall

This event has now finished. Thu Nov 20 2008

Time Out says

Mexican micro-house pioneer Murcof (né Fernando Corona) – known for fusing moody, electronic soundscapes and glitchy beats with the dynamics of avant-garde classical music – presents a live set, likely focusing on latest LP, 'The Versailles Sessions', which is different for him in that it uses as its springboard 17th Century baroque music. He's abetted by Spanish classical string ensemble, BCN216 and synchronised visuals from Flicker. Support from tuba maestro Marshall, who mutates his sub-sonic parps into a warped new dimension via electronics and effects.
