On Screen: Sally Beamish's 'Spinal Chords'

Sally Beamish's new work for the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, 'Spinal Chords', premiered at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in February 2012, and now you can watch a film screening of this moving performance, with narrator Juliet Stevenson. Melanie's weekly 'Spinal Column' in the 'The Times' is an inspirational account of how she deals with raised and dashed hopes of recovery from paralysis following a riding accident, and how she in turn has been inspired by the many young people on her ward, many of them injured in sporting activities.
