I have been a regular eater in this restaurant for the past 5 years and i find this restaurant serves very good Ethiopian food. Having spent several months in Ethiopia I can say it tastes very similar to what I had in Addis. My favourites in the menu: shiro, and the spinach with cottage cheese and the chicken firfir. I found the tibs to be not so good, I guess this is due to the meat quality. Haven't had to complain about the service.
I won't repeat, terrible experience. We went on a Thursday evening, the service was incredibly slow, even to pay... we had to go to the counter in order to get some attention just to discover that the credit card terminal wasn't working that day. The food was very poor, some dishes were salty and some tasteless, you may find it OK if this is your first Ethiopian experience but when you know how Ehiopian food should taste this is not even close. If you are looking for a good Ethiopina go to Adulis instead.
Had a wonderful lunch here - amazing flavours were a total delight. I had a vegetarian option which was colourful as well as super tasty and full of different textures. It was also incredibly filling. The service was friendly and the price was good. Definitely recommended.
Visited on a Sunday afternoon, was welcomed by a shabby interior. Ordered food and waited an absolute age, despite not being very busy. My food arrived and it was an egg and a chicken leg in sauce, not worth what I paid. Other diners tried the chicken and lamb kebab, the chicken was very dry, served with a tiny portion of rice and an unimaginative iceberg lettuce salad. Service was non existent throughout.
I had never eaten Ethiopian food before but from the moment you step into the place the warm colours and traditional decor makes it an instant experience you'll want to share. The service is friendly and accommodating and the hands on hearty food leaves no time for cutlery.
