Busaba Eathai

Busaba (it's the name of a Thai flower) Eathai (that part is self-explanatory) is a casual Thai eatery with ten branches across London, each favouring a diverse but simple menu and attracting a generally young clientele. Thai noodles, stir-frys, curries and salads are complemented by Asian-inspired juices and smoothies, and seating is at large, wooden communal tables. This branch in the heart of Covent Garden is, like its siblings, open from 12noon, and takeaway is available.

Casual Thai cantine offering delicious Thai food packed with flavours and at reasonable price. Ideal spot for a quick lunch or pre-theater diner. Discount for Time Out Card members.

Can you really go wrong with flavoursome Asian cuisine? NO! NO YOU CAN'T!

I've been to many busaba branches and though the quality of each branch differs slightly, I can't say I've ever come away disappointed or heartbroken. They have several pre-theatre menus which are all reasonably priced and the service is alright too. Their Thai calamari is what dreams are made of and by Jove that crab fried rice is always on my mind! They are every where so finding one is easier than trying a bow! Hmm how hard is that really?

My Friday after-work haunt. Busaba offers what I call ‘easy eating’, with a laid-back atmosphere, communal dining and flavourful food. Price-wise, it’s cheap and cheerful. As a vegetarian, the menu caters well offering classic Thai salads, noodles, curries and small plates. Don’t leave here without trying Pad Thai Jay, Tofu & Spinach Stir-fry and the Pandon Roll with Coconut Ice Cream. Refresh your palette with a fresh juice, like the Lemongrass and Ginger Pressé!

Over rated. Had asked the waiter to help with our decision, he had informed us that some of the food was bland and that it depends on how they cook it - sometimes it's good sometimes not so much. Not quite what I was expecting to hear from a member of staff I must say. Also, the lacked flexibility when it came to the adding/removing of an ingredient which was a shame. Food was beautifully presented and the Calamari tasted amazing but, aside from that, I am afraid I have to agree with the waiter. It was a tad bland and a far cry from the traditional Thai dishes I have had in Thailand.

My housband and I've been eating recently to this branch and our experience was not so good talking about customer service. Our server was a bit rude because we asked for starters and when the food came at the table at once we told that didn't want it he was annoyed about it. Luckily the manager, (thanks to her, not sure if the name is Debra) explained us something about the meaning of sharing the platters and kindly made our food again. Next time we will know that Busaba doesn't make starters. The staff should be more patient and do not be annoyed in front of customers. Nothing about the management that was excellent.

Tasty, affordable and plenty of locations around London. Different atmosphere and always something new to try - a welcome new addition to my eating round London

Didn't actually go to the restaurant but I ordered in and I was pleasantly surprised, it was absolutely fantastic food.

I had the Duck Breast and it was fantastic and my friend ordered the Pad Thai Chicken and it was pretty good too.

Also it wasn't expensive.

As a part of a chain os restaurants, Busaba offers a good cost benefit for your thai fix. Do not expect the most authentic food, but good food for a decente price in a welcoming environment. Most tables are shared, and reservations are advised, as the place gets packed in peak hours.

My most favourite place for Thai food! Small dishes, great for sharing, lovely ambience & people.

The Thai calamari are delicious. Not too keen on the communal tables but usually get some peace and quiet upstairs when I want to have a business meeting.

Can't fault the food at Busaba and with 50% off courtesy of my Time Out card, it's always my first choice for a pre-theatre meal. It can get busy so you may need to wait for a table, but the service is really efficient so people are usually in and out quite quickly.

The interior of this restaurant is nice and cosy.

The cost is average for a central london.

The food is hot and tastes really good.

The service is exceptional, they tried to accommodate extra people and remembered all the additional orders we made later and everyone kept adding new items especially the food was very good. Moderately priced. And good food.

This place if full of ambiance, the buzz was fantastic! the service was fast and efficient, the food was as exotic and delicious as always, a can't miss experience!

the worst busaba eathai ever!!! i have been waiting for 30 mins, and no one is taking order!!! I am 500% certain the waiters/waitress and even the manager saw me calling them, but they all avoid us!!! all i could see, was staffs are telling each other which customers are leaving, IS CLEARING TABLE MORE IMPORTANT THAN TAKING ORDER
