Caravaggio serves up deliciously authentic Italian cuisine at ridiculously affordable prices. Diners are spoilt with so many options, the menu includes a tonne of fresh pasta choices, an impressively varied selection for all the carnivores out there and pizzas and calzone for carb fans, all from around £7 to £15. Complimentary olives are also thrown in for good measure.

Traditional pasta classics of carbonara, bolognese and lasagne are available alongside the chef's own interpretations of old favourites, like Tuscan sausage penne, prawn tagliatelle in vodka and cream sauce and herby wild mushroom ravioli. Check out their long list of meat and fish feasts- steak, veal, duck, chicken, guinea fowl and lamb, while sea bass, salmon, plaice, cod, prawns, tuna steaks, calamari and mussels make up the fish section. The pizzas are best for vegetarians, the toppings are an interesting mix of mozzarella, blue and goats cheese, poached pear, aubergine, sun-dried tomato and courgette. My only little criticism of the menu is so many of the dishes come in white wine sauce (not a fan).

The service is speedy and efficient, but this doesn't mean they're lacking in quality, every time I've eaten here I can't fault any of my choices. The waiters are jokers and you're sure to partake in a few playful exchanges throughout your meal, they're the kind of people who thrive on customer satisfaction, and you'll definitely leave feeling pretty satisfied.

Good food, amazing stuff and affordable prices. We had 3 different choices of antipasti, desserts and a bottle of Chardonnay. The mussels were simply phenomenal. Tiramisu and cheesecake were both OK, not too sweet just like I remember it from Italy.

I missed some choice of salads; would be great to have at least two or three healthier options as an alternative to pizzas and pasta.

The decor is traditional, seems pretty old school but it makes this places even more charming.

Our first pizza when we moved in Camberwell, three years ago. Tasty and proper made pizzas and not just this! Amazing team, always kind and lovely. Definitely suggested.

That kind of restaurant with a million choices on the menu. The food I've eaten here has always been delicious- creamy sauces, piping hot pizza, lamb chops in marinara sauce all worth ordering. Lovely atmosphere with candle lit tables and

The hygiene rating I noticed on my last visit (sadly on the way out) needs some serious work so I hope this is being worked on as it would be sad to see Carravagios leave the Camberwell strip.

We as a family have been going to Caravaggio's for ages and have always really enjoyed our outings. The food is tasty, the portions are generous and the staff, who are all long term and extremely helpful and friendly remember their regulars and certainly make you feel welcome. This is a good value for money restaurant, popular with the locals and will not disappoint.
