After wandering around Covent Garden looking at the Christmas lights, we were after a delicious, warming meal at an affordable price, while feeling a little bit fancy... which is exactly what we found at Cote. I've been to one of their restaurants before, and was very happy with it, so was hoping that the Covent Garden restaurant offered the same experience - in short, they did.

As it was Christmas, we were taken to our table where there was a Christmas cracker waiting for us - a lovely touch. We had the option of a set menu which looked incredible but we decided to go with a three course meal of our own selections (well, it is Christmas). For starters, literally, my friend and I had the French Onion soup which honestly, was one of the best soups I have ever had, we then had the Poulet Grille and Mussels with Frites respectively followed up with Creme Brulee and a Lemon Tart.

My friend and I both agreed that the food was incredible - not too rich, not too much - just right. The service was also impeccable - friendly without being intrusive and always there to refill water and to check in that we were happy and didn't need anything further.

I'm very much looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu.

I am loving the new summer menu. The salted cod croquettes were Devine. The roast pork belly sublime and the dessert decadent. The staff are always so accommodating and pleasant. Being pre theatre they are super efficient int getting you seated served and out the door in a timely manner. Great wholesome food at a reasonable price.

Côte brasserie is a French chain. I went before to the one is Chiswick and now to the one in Covent Garden, which was perfect for the before-theatre meal.  We have had a set-menu, excellent value for money, only £12.50 for 2 courses but the choice isn't great. Well, you get what you pay for. The Butternut squash soup was delicious but Haddock Parmentier was so so. It's just a fish pie and not the best one as mash was too soft and you need to dig deep to find fish pieces. But was ok-ish for that money. The service is quick, no hassles. The atmosphere isn't for a romantic meal as such but more for a family meal or a quick meal with friends.

A chain with excellent credentials, the service, menu, dishes are of a high standard across the brand

Nice atmosphere, helpful staff.  Had the set lunch menu which at £12.50 for 2 courses appeared to be good value (£13.95 for 3 courses) and a good selection.  The food was of a reasonable standard though portion size small. House wine (rose) light and very pleasant.  Would go again.

St Martin's Lane branch is perfect for a quick lunch - the set menu is always good value for money and the specials nearly always feature excellent fresh fish dishes.

went in April for a birthday meal. staff and atmosphere were good. food is reasonably priced. had the best creme caramel i ever had. definitely will visit again!
