This Neapolitan fish bacaro is a branch of the original Pescheria Mattiucci, in Naples. Here, the menu also offers southern Italian dishes, with a focus on seafood. Typical dishes include salted anchovies from Cetara served with toasted bread and butter, a ragu of grouper with bulgar wheat, and Scottish lobster grilled with orange and lemon zest.
Classic cocktails join five reds, 14 whites and three champagnes on a drinks menu also boasting a nod to London, courtesy of Meantime beer and Dalston Cola. Brunch is offered too, with a selection of seafood sandwiches and gourmet coffees. A fish wrap using bread from Ridley Road's Ararat Bakery is available to take away.

Good food, interesting wines and a charming atmosphere. A rare find for those who like cheerful informality rather than the starched table cloths usually found at this price point.
I actually agree with all the comments done about the staff. i ordered for lunch the dish they serve (at £13) Grilled Cuttlefish With Zuccini. At such a price, i thought it would have to be all together a good experience. it was bistro food. It is not Rocket Science to grill cuttlefish, and in addition, when i was served a diminutive plate of food, there were black filaments in place of the zuccini, when I asked nicely "sorry, the menu said zuccini" the waiter stared at me as if i was wrong and told me: "this is aubergine". Da! I know what that small piece of vegetable is (although it was just the skin of an aubergine!) When I tried to explain that obviously " I was expecting Zuccini" he said "we dont have zuccini!" (well, why then you put it on the menu in first place?!). I ate it because it was my lunch and I am not a hassle maker...but as said in some of my comments, I thought "what was that....! " when I went out! i think the service was also bad. The waitress was rude and acting with superiority (so not Portobello Oriented...) and the Waiter/cook was like a kid... he seemed even more lost than I with my cuttlefish without zuccini. Very disappointing. The Aubergine was not home made.... and the cuttlefish was fine, just grilled... so? £13 pounds? and also with an attitude? Not so much! Never more.
one rise tapas £9 .even my cat would be hungry one tuna fish hamburger raw two spritz just made of ice don t go there, lots of other nice place in the area
Forget the service comments above. Real Italian fresh seafood, as authentic and tasty as served here, is unparalled in London. For the size of the place, and the quality, you have to pay.
The hostess of this place is aggressive, rude and pushy. The dishes are overpriced and not that great - they are good but not amazing! I will never go back there again. I walked out thinking "What the hell was that?"
Appaling service! I reserved a table one week in advance just to be called on the day that the table was not available any more due to a big group booking and we should take the bad table instead! During the conversation the lady told me that we should stay at home! Very unfriendly and rude staff!
