Ping Pong

Ping Pong makes dim sum for the not-always-initiated – ‘little steamed parcels of deliciousness’, in its own words. That means dumplings, and lots of ’em. Expect the full range of beef, chicken, seafood and vegetable options – not just steamed, mind, but fried too – plus soups, buns, rice dishes and desserts. Private rooms are available for parties and other events.

The Asian decor creates a great ambience considering that this is a franchise. This restaurant overlooks the water which is perfect if you choose to sit outside. The service was fantastic - the staff are incredibly professional and friendly. Our one friend who is vegan was easily catered for, having been given her own menu. I ordered the black prawn and spicy vegetable dumplings. Both were delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Ping-Pong is delicious! But also expensive. This branch in Tower Hill was pretty hoppin' on the Friday night we went, and pretty loud to boot. I would advise going on the Sundays' that they host the "all you can't eat" dim sum, cause honesty, buying by dish is pretty expensive. We shared about 6 dishes between us, and felt filled enough but not quite full. The Sunday all you can eat is more bang for your buck I reckon.

We headed into Ping Pong on a Thursday night and it was pretty quiet, but not dead, which was good and we had a great table overlooking the dock. The staff were pleasant in leading us to our table but when we were ordering and mocking one of our friends (as you do) for the way she pronounced something, the person serving us was quite quick to jump on the bandwagon of taking the p**s, which wasn’t really that great.

Once that little speed bump was done and dusted we focused on the food; which was served quickly and pretty much all at once. We had the crispy duck bao and a lot of dumplings: spicy chicken, black prawn, beef, vegetable and crab and prawn. Each and every single bit of food we had was flavourful and left us wanting more… although by the time we got to the last serving we felt pretty satisfied.

Ping Pong is known for its consistent deliciousness and I can happily say Ping Pong in St Katherine Docks absolutely hits the mark.

What a fun place in an amazing location. Great food in a causal ordering style where you tick from a list of options. There is a varied menu and ordering in rounds seems to be very popular. Delicious pan-asian, dumplings and seafood options all incredible. Great cocktails and desserts also!
