This Ealing branch of Shikumen – an authentic Chinese restaurant – is situated on the ground floor of Hotel Xanadu, within convenient reach of Ealing Broadway shopping centre. The decor, like the food, combines flourishes of both East and West. Within the neat and spacious dining space there's dark wood typical of Oriental interior design, which has been balanced by inoffensive creams and other neutral shades.
Food includes quality steamed dim sum, spicy Singapore noodles, Penang fried ho fun, wonton soup and other East Asian staples. To wash your meal down there are five teas to choose from (including oolong and jasmine) and for something a little stronger, browse Shikumen's selection of cocktails, wines, mixers, sake, beer and cider.
