Time Out says

4 out of 5 stars

A traditional Thai restaurant near London Bridge.

Although the three Inngern siblings are now running hot-ticket Kin + Deum (formerly the Suchard Freehouse), their dad (Suchard Inngern) is still holding the fort at this modest neighbourhood Thai restaurant – a Tooley Street favourite that just keeps rolling on. The dining room may be small but the menu’s huge, covering everything from chicken satay, tom yum soup and som tam salad to curries, stir-fries, noodles and rice plates of every description. Must-haves include the papaya salad (som tam), the warming red curry with duck and Bangkok-style puds of served-in-the-shell coconut ice cream or soothing bananas in warm coconut milk. Also consider Mr Suchard’s signature recommendations, like crispy sea bass fillet ‘choo chee’ topped with thick red curry, ground nuts and coconut. If that’s all too much to take in, you can always plump for one of the reasonably priced set deals – just remember to ask for a fried egg on top of your rice.
