Time Out says

Please note, Cookbook Cafe is now closed. Brunch at The Intercontinental is now served in Theo Randall at The Intercontinental. Time Out Eating & Drinking editors, Oct 2016.

This Park Lane restaurant champions seasonal British produce and fare. Its unlimited weekend brunch - bellinis and prosecco are included, too - draws crowds beyond those simply making their way down from the rooms at the adjoining Intercontinental hotel.

Such is their dedication to sustainable produce, they've been awarded a three-star rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association. So no unnecessary air miles here, then.

Full English breakfasts, fruit platters and eggs Benedict lead through to lunch options ranging from fillets of Dover sole and vegetable croustade to pot-roasted Gressingham duck with vegetable noodles in a five-spice coriander reduction.

The evening menu is influenced by dishes from across the world, though geographical denominations keep things local. Expect Kent vegetables in a rice noodle broth, Scottish salmon, scallion and apple ceviche, and grilled New Haven sole fillets in a carrot and coriander butter.

Keep an eye out for a new juicing menu, too - put together by Eat Yourself Young author, Elizabeth Peyton-Jones.
