'Apologia' at Trafalgar Studios

Description
  • What is it?

Last chance to get your hands on exclusive seats at this critically acclaimed West End production, with stellar talent on stage and behind the scenes.

    Why go?

A follow-up to Alexi Kaye Campbell’s award-winning debut, ‘The Pride’, ‘Apologia’ was a critical success when it opened at the Bush Theatre in 2009. It’s now been brought back to London by much-lauded, former-associate director at the Donmar, Jamie Lloyd, who not only has some pretty serious directing pedigree but also a knack for inspired casting (James McAvoy in ‘Macbeth’ and Martin Freeman in ‘Richard III’, both at The Trafalgar). Here he’s shipped over Tony Award-winning Stockard Channing (‘The West Wing’, ‘Grease’ and hit Broadway play 'Other Desert Cities') whose performance we described as 'full of pain and intelligence', to take up the role of the play’s embattled matriarch, justifying her career choices to two bitter adult sons.

Our tickets to this darkly funny, powerful and bold family drama start at just £15 – that’s better than half price. The show will be closing in November so be sure to get tickets while you still can.
