    Why buy?

The English National Ballet is kicking off 2018 with a double bill featuring two illustrious masterpieces. The first is Roland Petit’s ‘Le Jeune Homme et la Mort’, which tells the story of a young man besotted with a cruel lover who torments to tragic conclusions. With a libretto written by the surrealist master Jean Cocteau, it’s performed to Bach’s ‘Passacaglia and Fugue in C Minor’.

The second is August Bournonville’s ‘La Sylphide’, in which bridegroom-to-be James catches sight of a mysterious forest spirit on the morning of his wedding, and becomes enraptured by her. This production of love, heartbreak and betrayal will be performed for the first time in London, with a live score by the English National Ballet Philharmonic.

We have a run of exclusive half-price tickets that start at just £10 each. But take note of the dates: this isn’t on for long. Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity to see two ballet masterpieces being performed together.
