    • See two-time Olivier Award winner Griff Rhys Jones along with Lee Mack and Mathew Horne star in this show about a very wealthy and very paranoid man who will do whatever he can to protect his money.
    • Sean Foley, whose most recent production was the critically acclaimed ‘The Painkiller’ starring Kenneth Branagh and Rob Brydon, directs this hilarious adaptation that is as relevant today as it was 350 years ago.
    • For just £19.50, this is your last chance to bask in the glory of some classic comedy from some of our finest performers – enough to please even the hardest of misers. Don't miss out!

    More details:

Harpagon (played by Olivier Award-winning actor Griff Rhys Jones) is a real penny-pincher: the kind that would give even pre-ghost Scrooge a run for his money. Suspecting everyone is after his fortune, he runs into somewhat of a conundrum when his children don’t want to marry the rich spouses he’s picked but want to follow their… hearts instead. Weird.

Will love or money prevail? Passions and purse strings go head to head in this perfectly poignant comedy, which sees Jones returning to the London stage after five years, ‘Not Going Out’ and ‘Would I Lie To You’s comic Lee Mack making his stage debut, and co-creator and star of ‘Gavin and Stacey’ Matthew Horne rounding off this incredible cast.

First penned in 1668, this version is adapted from Molière’s original by Sean Foley and Phil Porter and directed by Foley (known for his recent award-winning stint ‘The Painkillers’), this major new staging is sure to knock the West End’s socks off. And Time Out has exclusive £19.50 tickets to – that’s a deal even Harpagon himself would jump on.
