Post-Truth: Book Slam x Penguin Live. Brexit, Trump and McMafia

  • What is it?

A multi-arts event examining burning issues in the Post-Truth era, produced by Penguin Live & Book Slam – featuring former Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, political commentator Matthew d’Ancona and Misha Glenny, author of McMafia.

    When is it?

    Wednesday March 14.

    Why buy?

There’s no denying 2017 saw a paradigm shift in the global political landscape – and it’s ongoing. But what does it mean for us? Penguin Live teams up with London’s best-loved literary club night, Book Slam, to bring you some of the UK’s top commentators to explore what’s going on.

This unmissable event features a unique combination of voices (see aforementioned) including authors, poets, comedians and musicians as they present their own take on the current world scene and explore possible answers. To lift the spirit we have poetry from the utterly brilliant Deanna Rodger, sublime music from Nathan Ball (think Van Morrison meets Bon Iver in Cornwall) and laughs courtesy of double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Andrew Maxwell, fresh from victory on Celebrity Mastermind, and our host, Felicity Ward.

Don't miss out on tickets for just £8.
